Shropshire Courtyard Barn

Shropshire Courtyard Barn The guest barn was formerly a barn outbuilding, newly renovated to a high standard with huge rooms. The ensuite features a huge wet room style shower.

Sitting in the countryside offers a peaceful retreat and ideal location for Shrewsbury, Chester and Wales to name a few. Rural Barn
The holiday accommodation is attached to the main barn. It's a fully equipped independent unit with its own entrance. Road access is via a quiet country lane with plenty of room on site for parking. The barn sits in 2 acres of land with ponds inhabited by our geese,

ducks, and hens which roam free and there are 2 peacocks. The property has views across the meadow at the rear and overlooks a courtyard at the front. The main Shropshire Way runs through the meadow behind and there are beautiful walks nearby and a pub within walking distance. The space
The accommodation is modern, generous and spacious. There is a large bedroom with walk in wardrobe (there is 1 king sized bed, and a double sofa bed). The open plan living room and kitchen is modern and warm. It has a warm, sunny feeling and overlooks the meadow at the rear. Guests are welcome to wander round the gardens and there are several patio and seating areas available, plus a private patio next to the barn. https://www.airbnb.com/s/guidebooks?refinement_paths[]=/guidebooks/2700078&share_channel=copy

The Lawley often gets overshadowed by the Long Mynd and Caer Caradoc, which is probably why it stays so peaceful. 🥾

The walk follows a narrow ridge with views that seem to change every few minutes. Look one way and it's the Stretton Valley. Turn around and you've got Caer Caradoc, the Long Mynd and, on a clear day, the Welsh hills stretching into the distance.

Summer is a great time to walk it too. Wildflowers line the path, butterflies seem to be everywhere and there's a good chance you won't be sharing the summit with many other people.

Back in Church Stretton afterwards, a cold drink or a pub lunch feels well earned.

You could hit the snooze, or you could get up, drive to the hills and watch this happen!

A summer sunrise over the Shropshire Hills is an absolute must when visiting Shropshire. The ridgeline catches the first light before anywhere in the valley does, the mist sits heavy in the hollows below and the heathland has that particular early morning stillness where the only things moving are the skylarks.

Set the alarm. Pack a flask. The hills will do the rest!

Where is your favourite sunrise spot in the Shropshire Hills? Tell us below. 👇🌅
