🍻 One of our favourite things about Hay Vacay…

We have the most wonderful pub, The Red Lion, Longden Common within easy walking distance from the farm. 🥰

So you can leave the car behind, head out for a lovely countryside walk, enjoy a delicious meal and a drink (or two! 😉), then wander back to Hay Vacay and snuggle up for the evening. 🌿🐴✨

It’s the perfect combination of country walks, good food, a cosy stay and absolutely no need to drive anywhere. ❤️

🌿 Peace and quiet

🛏️ A cosy little horsebox that’s had a whole new lease of life

🐴 MEET THE HORSE THAT STARTED IT ALL… 🤎

This is Eric.

When Eric hung up his horseshoes, his old horsebox suddenly needed a new job… and that’s when the idea to convert it was born. 🌾

We decided to give Eric’s old horsebox a completely new lease of life and turn it into somewhere people could come and stay, right here on our family farm.

Eric was the inspiration behind it all — so it only seemed right that he should still have a little part in it.

His picture is proudly displayed inside the box, so every guest who stays gets to meet the horse who started the story. 🐴❤️

And that’s how Hay Vacay began…

One much-loved horsebox, one very special horse and a new chapter for both. 🤎🌾

🌾 WELCOME TO HAY VACAY 🌾

What started as a late night conversation turned into something we never quite expected… ❤️

This is our converted horsebox, tucked away on our family farm in Shropshire. 🐴✨

In 2020 we decided to take on the challenge of converting our old horse boxes into somewhere people could come and stay.

What started as a project quickly became a labour of love — and before we knew it, we were ready to welcome our first guests.

Since then, we’ve been lucky enough to welcome so many lovely people, all coming to enjoy a little escape in the countryside and a taste of life here on the farm. 🚜.

So… welcome to Hay Vacay — a little horsebox, on our family farm, with a big story. ❤️
