🌿 What a wonderful evening at The Farmer Rural Awards 2026! 🌿

Last night we attended the Shropshire awards celebrating our fantastic rural community, and we are absolutely delighted to share that, for the second year running, Burlton Cottages has won Rural Accommodation of the Year! 🏆

We were genuinely shocked to win for a second year in a row, and feel incredibly proud and grateful to have received this award again. A huge thank you to everyone who has supported us, stayed with us and helped make Burlton Cottages what it is today. ❤️

It’s also been a busy couple of weeks for us, as we’ve recently been judged as finalists for the West Midlands Tourism Awards. We’re keeping everything crossed and looking forward to attending the awards dinner next spring! 🤞✨

Thank you again for all your continued support. We feel very lucky to do what we do and to be part of such a wonderful rural community.

🐾 A new service for our four-legged guests! 🐾

We know that for many of our guests, a holiday isn’t complete without bringing their furry family members along. Our beautiful countryside setting is perfect for exploring with your dog, but we also understand that there may be times when you’d like to enjoy something that isn’t suitable for your four-legged friend — whether that’s a relaxing spa treatment, a meal out or a day exploring further afield.

We’re delighted to introduce Mary from Holiday Hounds, a trusted local dog sitting service available exclusively for guests staying in holiday cottages across Shropshire.

Mary can provide caring, personalised support in the comfort of your holiday cottage, helping your dog feel relaxed in a familiar environment.

🐶 Dog sitting in your holiday cottage
🐾 Walks and one-to-one companionship
🕒 Daytime, evening or full-day cover
❤️ Care tailored to your dog’s own routine and personality

For your peace of mind, Mary is fully DBS checked and holds appropriate insurance cover, with documentation provided to us.

We think this is a wonderful addition to the Burlton Cottages experience — giving you more flexibility during your stay while ensuring your dog is happy and well cared for.

📞 To find out more or arrange care during your stay, contact Mary from on 07807 913729.

Because at Burlton Cottages, we want every member of the family to enjoy their holiday… including those with four paws! 🐾

🌿 What if your holiday could give something back?

At Burlton Cottages, we believe that enjoying a beautiful destination comes with a responsibility to look after it.

That’s why we’re working to make our tourism business more regenerative — benefiting the environment, the local community and our guests. 💚

☀️ Renewable energy
🐝 Biodiversity and regenerative farming
♻️ Reducing waste and reusing wherever we can
🏡 Supporting local businesses
🚗 Encouraging lower-impact travel
🌳 Helping our guests connect with nature

We’re certainly not perfect, and there’s always more we can do. But we’re committed to continually improving and making choices that leave a positive legacy.

Because Shropshire is too beautiful not to look after. 💚

Such a special end to the weekend. Thank you for everyone who came along to a new experience here in the Spa. Due to its success we are hosting another floating sound bath on 20th December.
If any groups or retreats would like to include a floating sound bath whilst you stay here, just let me know. It truly was very relaxing.

Rodriguez Events often cater in The Studio for our groups who book all the properties under Exclusively Burlton. These guests had a wonderful time and kindly wrote the following to me...

"We knew it was going to be a great weekend. We’d read about all the cottages, the swimming pool and the hot tub but we were not really prepared for how perfect it was for our family.
It was so good to be together, but also with our own spaces to return to. The studio was a revelation - a great place to meet and eat; the children loved it for the entertainment, and they loved the pool - we all did.
The cottages were designed and fitted to a very high standard. They felt very luxurious and i personally had a very relaxed and stress free weekend.
Thank you both for your unobtrusive presence, and for providing all the information we needed. We loved Burlton cottages. Thank you."

Thank you so much for your kind words, it means the world to me. ☺

🏡 When you stay at Burlton, we want you to discover more than just Burlton.

One of the things we love most about being in Shropshire is the fantastic independent businesses, producers, pubs, restaurants, attractions and experiences on our doorstep. ❤️

We actively encourage our guests to explore beyond the obvious tourist spots and discover some of the wonderful local businesses that make our area so special.

From recommending a great local pub 🍽️ to suggesting an independent attraction or farm shop 🧺, we love helping guests experience the real Shropshire.

We also use local contractors, housekeepers, gardeners and suppliers wherever possible.

Because we believe tourism should benefit the community you’re visiting — not just the accommodation you stay in. 🌿

Stay local. Explore local. Support local. 💚
