Meet Ollie – The Tawny Owl Who Travels the UK by Motorhome

A very special feathered traveller has been turning heads on his adventures around the UK – and we were lucky enough to meet him when he visited us at Putts Corner Club Campsite.

Around four years ago, he was rescued from the roadside after being struck by a car. The accident left him with badly damaged wings and, sadly, unable to fly.

Today, he lives with his devoted human companion in a motorhome and has become a very well-travelled owl, exploring destinations across the UK from the comfort of his home on wheels.

Ollie is incredibly friendly and enjoys being around people. He seems perfectly at ease meeting new faces and has become something of a familiar character on his travels. Up close, he is absolutely beautiful, and one of the things that surprised us most was just how incredibly soft his feathers are.

From campsite to campsite and destination to destination, Ollie continues to see the country in a rather different way – not on the wing, but on four wheels.
