A fantastic place well worth a visit whilst you're with is, the Radcliffe Donkey Sanctuary. It's in Huttoft, which is about half way between Skegness & Mablethorpe.
I know a few of our guests absolutely love this place and the invaluable work they do caring for these wonderful animals, so much so they became sponsors.

BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION.
Our very own Dynamic Derrick will be 13yrs old, this Sunday 31st May.
Derrick is quite a celebrity he holds the Guinness World Record for being the tallest donkey at 16.3 hands . His certificate is proudly displayed in the gift shop.
Derrick loves being around people, being the centre of attention and enjoying all the fuss. Please come and celebrate with us and wish Derrick a very happy 13th birthday. There will be carrot cake on sale and Derrick will be having a ‘special’ slice to celebrate. Hope you can all make it🥳.

Announcement:
Having just recovered from a very busy, and fantastic weekend, in which we had some great guests, I've just received the tragic news that my stepmum has passed away, who'd been battling both cancer & Parkinson's for some time.

We got on so well, had a lot in common, and she'd always been like a Mum to me, and knew she'd make my Dad happy, and she did.
Since last year, her condition had become terminal, and rather than the anticipated move after my Dad, passed, she's sadly spent her last months in a hospice care home. It was very sad for her, but was well looked after, and in very pleasant surroundings. She was extremely house proud, and like Andrea, loved her garden, and was fantastic at baking, and once had plans to open a teashop. My Dad never went hungry that's for sure.

It's tragic news, but at least now, she and my Dad are reunited, and she'll be at peace, free from anymore pain and suffering.

At the moment, there'll be no changes, as it'll be a while before we know the arrangements of course, but needless to say, we will cease taking bookings, especially online nearer the time, and apologise should it be necessary to make any cancellations, but hope unlike our OTA that they'll be understanding of the circumstances.

At the moment, thankfully no one should be affected, but will update when we can.

I'm just coming to terms with the fact I'll no longer have Mum or Dad to turn to.

It's sure been an absolutely gorgeous day, not that we got to see much of it, but lovely having a mix of new & familiar guests enjoying it all.
Tables all set, ready for lots of breakfasts in the morning, with tomorrow set to be even hotter!
