Kantankye Campsite

To all our camping guests friends and Scouting groups.

After many happy years we have made the sad decision to sell the camp site and step into retirement.Running the site has been a labour of love for our family from the beginnings in the 70s when David's Mum and Dad Brenda and Brian with the help.of David who was only 11 years old when they arrived created the site as Kantankye Scout Camp Site,
The beautiful trees were planted giving the lovely feel it has today providing shade from the very hot Summers we've had of late.

But as we are getting older , I can't believe I'm 75 next birthday and David in his 60s the physical demands of keeping things running smoothly are becoming a bit too much, we know it's time to slow down and let new owners take the reins.
We want to thank everyone of you who have made this place special, your regular visits have turned this field into a community .
Things will carry on in much the same way, The new owners want our wonderful Rallies and individual tourers and Motor homes to carry on. We will be around to join in, as we are still living in the cottage.
We promise to keep you informed as things progress.

Our Camporee has been a great success this year, so nice to see old friends and new sharing lots of lovely traditional music.
Our Afternoon Tea was a favourite again we raised £172 for Brain Tumour Research in memory of a dear family friend Brian Kirk .
We hope to see you all again next year, plus friends who couldn't make this year due to illness, we hope you all get well soon.

Hi everyone our Camporee , will soon be here,
lots of sunshine again according to the forecast.
If you pay by card, we would prefer the fees paid by bank transfer or cash, I'll give you the details when we see you ,hope this is ok for you.
Our fees are £20 per night including hook up and awning.
