🐾 Joey’s Day at the Seaside! 🐾

We popped over to Bucket & Spade Holiday Home today to do a few bits and bobs and, of course, took our Joey along for the trip! ☀️🏖️

After a lovely walk along the beach, he enjoyed a well-deserved doggy ice cream at the very dog-friendly Admiral Benbow pub. By the time we got back, he was completely pooped and decided the sunny veranda was the perfect spot for a little sit down and a rest! 🐶❤️

Don’t forget, we’re very dog-friendly here at Bucket & Spade Holidays because we know holidays are better when the whole family comes along!

Given the recent tragic incidents seen both locally and across the country, we are continuing to urge people not to enter lakes, ponds, rivers or other unsafe open bodies of water that are not meant for swimming.

There are a number of hazards and dangers in these open waters. We want to remind people of the risks that open water swimming can bring:

- Cold water shock due to extreme temperatures
- Rivers with hidden or strong currents
- Unpredictable changes and depths to the water
- Obstacles and underwater objects and hazards
- Uneven banks and river beds making it difficult to exit

Anyone who is undertaking authorised open water swimming should also be aware of the RNLI advice:
