Just beside the River Monnow there are places of interest and plenty of fantastic walks all around The Bell has 6 of its own, circular walks with instructions and compass points which are available to purchase from reception. Details of all the walks and other outside activities may all be found on the website.

We’re doing okay for now.

Storm Ingrid last night brought a lot of rain, and the Monnow has risen significantly — just under 4 metres.
Joseph, our head chef, put the flood defences in place and is keeping a close watch.

We hope everyone is safe and keeping dry.

Dear Friends of The Bell,

We are saddened to share that The Bell Hotel and Restaurant has been affected by severe flooding once again. Seeing our much-loved space damaged has been truly heartbreaking for our entire team.

Please know that your support and kindness mean more to us now than ever before. Thank you for the many messages and emails—your words of care and encouragement have brought us real comfort during this difficult time.

Our hearts also go out to the homes and families in the village and surrounding areas who have also been affected by this storm. We are keeping our whole community in our thoughts.

Please note that The Bell is currently closed and we will re-open on Wed 19th Nov at 12pm. However, our phone & emails will be attended to during this short break for our staff.

We have a lovely Private Dining Room where you can entertain up to 30 people. If you are considering an Exclusive Use event then we'd be more than happy to discuss.
