🐾 DOGS OF THE WEEK 🐾

What a lovely bunch of four-legged guests we had staying with us over the Bank Holiday weekend! 🐶💛

🐾 Darcy – a gorgeous chocolate Sprocker Spaniel, just 2 years old.
🐾 Maisie – a 12-year-old Parson Russell Terrier.
🐾 Penny – a 10-year-old Patterdale cross.
🐾 Nellie & Lou Lou – the two Jack Russells, both 5 years old. ❤️

All four stayed with us alongside their families over the weekend and were so incredibly well behaved!

Can you tell I was holding the sausages behind the camera?! 😆

🥂 9 YEARS 🥂

This weekend marks 9 years since we became the very proud (and very excited!) tenants of The Devonshire Arms! 💛

Looking back at where we started and seeing how much has changed over the last 9 years makes us incredibly proud of everything we’ve achieved so far!

And now… we’re heading into our tenth - and final - year! 🥂

Don’t worry, we’re not going anywhere just yet! We’ve got a whole year ahead of us and we’re looking forward to making the most of it, celebrating with our brilliant customers, friends, family and everyone who has supported us along the way.

✨ Join Our Front of House Team at The Devonshire Arms Country Inn! ✨

We’re looking for a friendly, enthusiastic Front of House Team Member to join us at our busy country inn in Cracoe.

We have a regular Saturday shift, 12–4pm, with the opportunity for additional hours during the school holidays. This role is suitable for ages 14+, making it perfect if you’re looking for your first job or if you already have hospitality experience.

If you have a positive attitude, enjoy meeting people and are willing to learn, we’ll provide all the training you need! 😊

We’re looking for someone who is:
• Friendly and welcoming
• Reliable and hardworking
• A great team player
• Keen to learn and provide excellent customer service

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable hospitality experience while working in a friendly, supportive team in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales.

Today we have lots to celebrate! 🥳🎂

It’s Phil & Sam’s 34th wedding anniversary! ❤️🥂

But then, 2 years into their marriage, Vicky was born! The gift that keeps on giving (in her humble opinion 😆)

So, happy 34th wedding anniversary Phil & Sam, and happy 32nd birthday Vicky! Safe to say they’ve celebrated plenty of birthdays but not quite so many anniversaries!! 😂

Meet Bess! 🐾🤍

Bess is a gorgeous 13-week-old Border Collie and one of our newest local residents. She belongs to one of our local guests, who sadly lost his beloved dog 18 months ago, so we’re especially pleased to welcome Bess to the local community. 🥰

She enjoyed her first of many visits to the pub, where she received plenty of fuss and attention… and, of course, a couple of biscuits! 🦴😂

We can’t wait to see you again soon, Bess! ❤️🐾

🐾 DOG OF THE WEEK – JASPER! 🐾

This week’s Dog of the Week is the very handsome Jasper! 🐶❤️

Jasper is a lovely local spaniel who lives right here in the village, and he’s got a wonderfully cheeky personality! 😏 He also happens to be a big fan of a good tummy rub — and judging by this photo, he’s not shy about letting you know when he’d like one! 😂

It’s always lovely to welcome our local four-legged friends, and we’re so pleased to have you visiting us, Jasper. 🥰

We’ll have plenty of biscuits waiting for you next time! 🦴🐾

We might be biased, but we reckon Yorkshire is a pretty special place to call home.

From beautiful views and proper Yorkshire beer, to delicious local produce and a good Yorkshire gin (or two 😉), there’s plenty to celebrate!

So today we’re raising a glass to God’s Own County. 🍻
