Summer menu season starts now ☀️🥗

Our summer menu is all about fresh, seasonal Yorkshire produce from the suppliers we’re proud to work with. Even with a mostly cloudy Sunday ahead, we’ll take every bright spell as it comes; whether you’re dining in the restaurant, the garden or relaxing by the outdoor bar, it’s the perfect spot to enjoy something light, bright and full of flavour.

Pair your Caesar with one of our delicious summer wines and settle in for the afternoon. Good food, great service, and a bit of sunshine… when the weather behaves.

Lister Barn → The Lister Arms 🍃✨

It’s only a short 2 minute walk, but it’s one of our favourites.

Lister Barn itself is a bit of a gem - bright, spacious rooms, comfy beds, proper soak‑the‑day‑away bathrooms, and plenty of space to gather round the big table or relax by the log burner. There’s even a boot room, a private garden, and a dog wash for muddy paws 🐾

Whether you’re heading over for dinner, a drink in the garden, or straight to the fire after a long day exploring, it’s a lovely little route to start or end your day. Book your stay now.

A fresh mix of berries, Bacardi and Vodka that’s made its way onto our specials board last weekend - light, bright and spot‑on for a sunny afternoon 🍹

A proper Malham day out - and the perfect place to come back to 🍃✨

Malham Cove is famous for a reason. Formed over 12,000 years ago at the end of the Ice Age, its limestone pavement is one of the most recognisable spots in the Dales - and even made an appearance in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows 🪄

The walk up is classic Yorkshire: dry‑stone walls, big views, and that moment you reach the top and see Malhamdale stretch out in front of you 🏞️
And after a day exploring the Cove, Janet’s Foss or Gordale Scar, The Lister Arms is your home‑from‑home with a pint in the garden, good food, and a comfy bed just a short wander away.

Big walks, little paws, and a well‑earned sit‑down in the garden 🐾🌿

Malham’s been full of dogs this week - some tackling the Cove, some splashing at Janet’s Foss, and plenty just enjoying a steady wander around the village before settling in for a rest 🐶

We’ve also had Head Baker Aory’s homemade dog biscuits on the go - all raising money for Yorkshire Air Ambulance - and they’ve been going down very well with our four‑legged visitors.

After a good outing, our garden seems to be where they all end up. What’s your dog’s favourite Malham walk or thing to do when they visit 👇

It’s been a cracking week in the courtyard for the holidays - sunny days, warm weather and the place full of happy faces soaking it all up 🌻

The summer menu’s been flying out and the new dishes have been perfect al fresco, with plenty of drinks pouring from the outside bar too 🍺

Sunshine has definitely picked a favourite this week ☀️

Fresh on our blackboard specials - our burrata & heritage tomato salad has been flying out - olive tapenade, wild garlic pesto, wild garlic oil… fresh, colourful, proper summer food.

The countdown is on..! 🚴‍♂️🔥

Chris and three of the Thwaites senior team are gearing up for their huge charity cycle - over 300 miles and a 18,000ft climb on the ultimate extreme pub tour. With less than a month to go, the excitement (and the training!) is in full swing 🚴

Thanks to your incredible support - from buying raffle tickets, donating prizes, and even Head Baker Aory’s homemade dog biscuits - we’re now at 97% of our £1500 target. Every penny goes to two phenomenal causes: Yorkshire Air Ambulance and The Burnt Chef Project.
