We've got some very special guests visiting the Dales on the 1st of September! 🐴 Mojo and Challenger, the magnificent Robinsons Brewery Shire Horses, will be making an appearance at Kilnsey Show. These gentle giants are part of a proud tradition stretching back over 100 years—with only a brief pause during the First World War when horses were called to duty. Today, Mojo (11 years old) and Challenger (7 years old) are among the few remaining working Shires in the British Brewing industry, they're bigger than you'd think! If you're heading to the show, keep your eyes peeled for these beauties. They're sure to steal the show with their immaculate turnout! 🍺💚

Have you taken a moment to appreciate Linton Beck lately? 🌊 This lovely stream flows right through our village, adding to the charm that makes Linton such a delightful spot in the Yorkshire Dales. It crosses two Grade II listed bridges on the green—one of them being the famous Little Emily's Bridge that's been guiding travelers to our doors since the 14th century! There's something wonderfully peaceful about the sound of flowing water while you're enjoying a meal or a drink at The Fountaine Inn. If you haven't visited us yet, you're missing out on one of the prettiest views in the dales! We'd love to see you soon. ☕️

Not just about the haddock, you know! 😉 Our Pan-roast Sea Bass is calling your name this evening. Imagine crisp-skinned seabass with crushed new potatoes, samphire & tenderstem broccoli, all brought together with a warm brown shrimp & caper butter. It's the kind of dish that makes you forget about the outside world for a bit. Pop in from 5pm onwards and let us do the cooking.🐟🍻
