To all our lovely customers! Thank you so much for being so kind and understanding on such a busy day! Unfortunately we can’t please everyone and do not tolerate unkind behaviour towards our staff that work so hard. Today has been a very busy bank holiday as you can imagine and all our staff have been amazing. Our staff are only human as our ourselves, staff work so hard and can only do there best. The Clifton has over 100 seats on the premises and even though you may sit in the coffee shop there may be another 60 people sitting in a different area like the Bar or Library room or even outside on a sunny day. When you come to the Clifton we aim to give you the best service and the best quality of food, we won’t always get it right but you can bet your bottom dollar if you tell us when you are with us we will try to rectify our mistake. If we are busy and you need another coffee just shout, if your not happy with the poached eggs just shout, if you are waiting 30 minutes just remember the staff are working hard and the kitchen are working at top speed. Hospitality is at its last legs and we just can’t possibly do anymore than try our hardest. Please support us by being patient but also being kind.
