City Park Guest House was built in 1895 and is a family run B&B in Southampton with a friendly atmosphere. We are not far from the City Centre but far enough away not to be disturbed by Southampton’s night life.

We are close to Southampton Central Station and National Express. We are just on the doorstep to the entire city and the fantastic SeaCity Museum.

With the Mayflower theatre within a 3 min walk we are popular with customers staying over to visit a show.

Many of our guests stay with us prior to their cruise trip as it takes the stress of arriving on the same day of the departure.

The High Street and West Quays shopping centre is again only 7/8 minutes away everything that you need for a city break is all conveniently on our doorstep.
Southampton has a lot of History too .It was once a walled City and some of this remains today along with The Bargate which was the entrance to the old town . There is the Tudor House Museum along with The Old Merchants House.

Unfortunately we do not have any parking on site but we might be able to help you with limited off-site parking.

We have two ground floor rooms that we offer to guests with mobility problems but neither of these are adjusted for any special needs.

Breakfast is a buffet self-service with a selection of Teas, toasts and cereals. Cooked breakfast (which is cooked to order) consists of Bacon, Sausage, Egg, Baked Beans and Tinned tomatoes.

There is also a vegetarian option and we cater for anyone with special dietary needs I.E Gluten Free. Advanced notice would be helpful either when booking your room or on Check-in.

Southampton is an international City and this is reflected in the many different Restaurants and Eateries. Just around the corner from us we have Gusto Bistro which serves very well cooked food in a very pleasant environment. Next is Buffalo Bills which is a steak and burger restaurant. Leelawadee Thai, Taj Mahal Indian then Gregs Bistro and a Sushi Bar, All off these serve good food.

If you want to venture further ( about a 5 minute walk) you have a host of other places to eat such as Nandos, Bacelona Tapas. The Pie and Cider Shop,and 2 English pub/restaurants.
Southampton is an old City and once was walled. Some of the Old Town still stands. You can visit The Tudor House and Merchant House Museums and walk the trail of the old walls. From April to October there are guided walks.

All rooms have refreshments and colour TV with DVD player (DVDs available from reception).

Traditional English breakfast or a self service buffet is available to all of our guests.
