ππ€ SOUTHEND-ON-SEA TIDE TIMES β AUGUST 2026 π€π
Planning a trip to the coast this August? Whether you're heading out on the water, enjoying the beach, fishing, paddleboarding, kayaking or simply exploring the beautiful Thames Estuary, knowing the tide times is essential.
β οΈ Important Tide Information
Tide times are approximate and can vary depending on weather conditions, atmospheric pressure, wind strength and direction, and lunar cycles (Spring & Neap tides).
Southend is a tidal flood plain where the sea can retreat well over a mile and return surprisingly quickly. This happens twice daily (approximately every 12Β½ hours) and can easily catch people out.
π Stay safe. Plan ahead. Check the tides.
Perfect if you're: β
Walking along the beach or mudflats β
Paddleboarding or kitesurfing β
Heading out on a boat trip β
Sea fishing β
Launching a kayak, dinghy or other small craft
