🌸 Remembering Joyce Dimlow — a very special Flower Show friend 🌸
The Southport Flower Show has always been a special time of year for us at the Adelphi, but this year it has felt a little different.
For over 22 years, we had the pleasure of welcoming Joyce Dimlow back to stay with us for the Flower Show. Sadly, Joyce passed away last month, and myself and my children genuinely feel as though we have lost a little part of our Adelphi family. ❤️
Joyce was far more than a guest to us. Year after year she returned, and she became such a familiar and much-loved part of Flower Show week. She always brought such an atmosphere to the dining room at breakfast — chatting, laughing and catching up with the other guests, many of whom returned year after year too.
What really touched me this year was that, as our regular Flower Show guests arrived, one of the first things they did was ask about Joyce and where she was. Having to tell them the sad news really brought home just how much she was loved and remembered by everyone who met her here.
Joyce dedicated so many years to volunteering at the Southport Flower Show, and I believe she was one of its longest-standing volunteers. It seems only right that during Flower Show week we remember someone who was such a big part of it for so many years. 🌺
Breakfast at the Adelphi certainly hasn’t felt quite the same without her this year.
We will miss her stories, her laughter and most of all, simply seeing her walk through our door again.
22 years of memories with Joyce that we will always treasure.
With love from
