Spacious, well equipped 3 bedroom (king 4-poster, double & twin) terraced cottage in a quiet location, walled courtyard garden, within walking distance to Southwold, 20 mins. Green Gate Cottage is in a quiet location within walking distance (20 minutes / 3 minutes by car) from Southwold, Suffolk's premier coastal town and its beach, pier, shops, harbour, restaurants, pubs, golf course, leisure fac
ilities and other amenities. It is suitable for both couples and families and we welcome young children; from autumn 2023 we are also dog friendly. The cottage offers an excellent base from which to explore the Heritage Coast and the Suffolk countryside, with Dulwich, Minsmere, Snape, Aldeburgh, Norwich, Oulton Broad, Great Yarmouth and the Norfolk Broads all within a reasonable driving distance. The cottage offers comfortable, well equipped accommodation with full gas central heating and an open fire to cosy up to if you want to take a break out of season. The master bedroom has a king size four poster bed, for added luxury and comfort. There is also space for a toddler bed or travel cot in the master bedroom if required. The second bedroom is a double and the third has 2 twin 3' beds. The bathroom has a full size bath with shower over and there is also a separate downstairs cloakroom. The cottage also has a conservatory and a small walled courtyard garden with outdoor furniture, where you can catch the early morning sun at breakfast time or relax at the end of the day with tea and a slice of cake. There is plenty of free parking available in an unmade cul-de-sac at the side of the cottage, Churchill Road, (recommended) or on the roads around the cottage. Free Superfast Fibre Broadband WiFi is also available for guests, plus Amazon fire TV sticks in lounge, master bedroom and double bedroom, smart speakers and a Playstation 2 with games is available. A small games table is available to hire at £10 per week or part thereof, with a £75 security deposit. Welcome tray on arrival, including cake or jam, fresh milk, tea, coffee and sugar. We have an extensive range of baby and toddler equipment available that can be pre-booked in advance including a wooden toddler bed, travel cot, 2 high chairs, play pen, toys, books and dvds, toddler cutlery & tableware, baby-bath, change mat, toilet equipment. Blackout blinds/curtains are provided in al the bedrooms. From autumn 2023 we are dog friendly, with a fully enclosed
rear courtyard garden, dog bed, (2 x large crates if required) and dog bowls, for your well behaved dogs (up to 2 permitted when booked in advance). Please note, the first floor and garden are on varying levels. We have a very well equipped kitchen, with Tassimo coffee machine, air fryer, slow cooker, microwave, freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Celebrating a special occasion? Order and pay for gifts for your special guest from local suppliers and we will collect them and have them waiting for you on ysour arrival at the cottage, subject to prior booking and arrangement with suppliers. We also offer low occupancy rates for two people only using only one bedroom for Oct-Mar off peak (non-holiday) weeks; so you can enjoy an autumn, winter or spring break in this beautiful part of Suffolk.
