Moy Bridge near Gairlochy is the only surviving original bridge on the Caledonian Canal. Unlike many of the modern bridges on the canal this swing bridge is operated by hand.

The bridge was built to provide access to May Farm and is for use by the farmer only.

Castle Tiorum is a ruined castle which sits on Eilean Tiorum, a tidal island where the River Shiel and Loch Moidart meet. The castle itself is closed to visitors but at low tide you can get close enough to look at the castle exterior.

Loch An Eilen, meaning loch of the island, on the Rothiemurchas Estate in the Cairngorms is a beautiful spot for a walk. There is a mainly flat, well maintained 5km track walk around the loch, taking around 1 - 1.5 hours.

With an island castle ruin and beautiful woodland scenery surrounding the loch, it is well worth a visit.
