Our Story

St. Andrews Hostel is located in the heart of the historic old town of St. Andrews, only five minutes walk from the bus, rail station and local attractions. Our hostel has a cosy atmosphere and friendly staff who will advise you on booking and travel arrangements.

St. Andrews town is a wonderful place to visit, whether you are coming to play a round at the Home of Golf, one of the several other courses to play or watch the pros at the โ€˜Old Courseโ€™- the oldest golf course in the world. All clubs welcome visiting players throughout the year, allowing them to experience for themselves the unique magic and tradition of playing at St. Andrews.

For those interested in Scottish history, the ruin of St. Andrews cathedral was once Scotlandโ€™s largest and most impressive church. St. Andrews castle, a seaside ruin, is located a mere stroll away. St. Andrews is also home to Scotlandโ€™s first university, the same university that Prince William and Kate Middleton attended!
