🏖️ A lovely little find for families visiting Staithes! 🪣🌊

If you’re heading down to the beach during your stay at Keel Rooms, keep an eye out for the Borrow, Play, Return beach toy station.

It’s such a brilliant idea, if you’ve forgotten your buckets, spades or other beach toys, you’re welcome to borrow what’s there, enjoy them on the beach, and return them afterwards for another family to use. If you have any beach toys your little ones have outgrown or no longer need, you’re welcome to leave them there too.

It’s a fantastic community initiative that helps reduce waste, saves space in the car, and makes beach days even more fun.

We love seeing thoughtful ideas like this in our wonderful village. Happy beach adventures! 🏖️💙

🛍️ A Handy Local Gem for Your Stay at Keel Lodges

One of the many things our guests love about staying in Staithes is having fantastic independent businesses right on the doorstep and Betsy & Bo is one of our favourites!

Whether you’re picking up fresh bread for breakfast, milk, eggs, cheese, cooked meats, salad, olives, or stocking the kitchen with holiday essentials, you’ll find plenty to choose from.

If you’re planning a picnic on the beach, a relaxed lunch in your lodge or simply need to top up your groceries, it’s well worth popping in while you’re exploring the village.

Betsy and Bo is open 7 days a week from 10:00am until 5:00pm, making it easy to pop in whenever you need those holiday essentials.

Fabulous informative guided walk by Bill Hinchley ive learnt an awful lot from this myself ❤️
Ive been feeling a little ignorant living my whole childhood in the village and not knowing as much of the history. As a child lucky to grow up in "Steers" I was too busy having fun to ask about the past. My view and home for the first 17 years of my life was Harbourside (Rockleigh) on Seaton garth... the Staith. Its never too late to learn ❤️
