Beautiful dog friendly book direct lodge with enclosed garden & water’s edge hot tub, large decking & jetty for fishing, launching kayaks or paddleboards. We visited Tallington Lakes for the first time in June 2021, and 2 days later bought this brand new lodge. Three weeks after that, our first guests arrived & since then we have been very busy taking bookings and gathering excellent reviews! The
lodge is simply in the best location at the top of the biggest lake, with fields behind. Parking for 2 cars, and it has excellent enclosed outside space including a grassed garden, a 40 ft wraparound verandah and spacious sun trap decking, there is even a jetty! Dogs welcome, please make sure the size and quantity is suitable. Bedroom 1 is a kingsize bed with bathroom ensuite. Bedroom 2 may be set up as a twin or a double, and has easy access to the shower room. Both bedrooms have a TV, and the living area has a 50inch smart TV - no teeny tvs at our lodge! With wifi, and our DVD/Blu Ray collection, you'll be entertained no problem! The kitchen is fully fitted, with oven, hob, microwave, toaster, washing machine, kettle and full size fridge freezer. Many guests have arrived and stayed on site all week, enjoying the panoramic views and watching the wildlife on the lake through the glass panels on the decking. If exploring is your thing, then nearby there is Burghley House, and historic Stamford. A little further, and you'll find Oakham, and Rutland Water. Some guests have even set off early for a day at the seaside, with Heacham beach being the nearest. Personally, we prefer Sheringham or Wells, which are a bit further.
