The road through Bramber has had travellers stopping on it for a thousand years, which tells you something, not about the building, but about this particular corner of Sussex. Some places are just worth pausing at.

Renovations are well underway and we want you to be part of our journey.

The Founders’ Account is our crowdfunding round and now’s the chance to be apart of it.

We’re offering a limited number of places to the people who want to be part of The Tollgate from the very beginning. When they’re gone, or when we reach the Founders’ Supper in November, whichever comes first, the Founders’ Account closes for good. There won’t be another.

What founders receive:

- From £500, with up to 40% extra to spend
- Credit for rooms from the day you join, then dinner, the bar, the Tea Room and private dining as each opens
- Credit that never expires, and can be given as a gift
- A numbered Founders’ card.
- Residents and above are named on the Founders’ Wall, for good
- The top tiers have rooms and suites named after them
