PLACES TO STAY IN STIRLING

The Old Tramhouse Apartments.
We hear it all the time from visitors in the taxi, they thought one day in Stirling would do. Then, as they are heading back home—or off to that other city… what’s it called again? Edinburgh? they tell us they wish they had stayed longer and had more time to explore. Aye, we could have told you! Make Stirling your base and enjoy a proper wee break.
Planning an autumn or winter getaway, thinking ahead to next year, or expecting family over the festive period but short on beds? The Old Tramhouse Apartments offer boutique self-catering accommodation in a restored Victorian property in Causewayhead, with two apartments sleeping up to five and six guests.
Getting about by bus is handy too: services 52 and UL run from Stirling city centre to the Wallace Monument car park. Check the latest times before setting off.
In the grounds of The Old Tramhouse Apartments, you’ll find AC Signature Beans Coffee Trailer. Alison serves barista-made coffee, chai, tea, iced drinks, milkshakes and smoothies, with bakes too. And with weather this mild, a smoothie’s still fair game—nae need for the winter woollies just yet! The view of the Wallace Monument is a cracker as well.
Alison gives folk a lovely warm welcome. You might arrive a stranger, have a wee blether, and leave feeling like you have made a new pal. The Old Tramhouse has also received a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence.

Wednesday: 8.30am–4pm
Friday: 8.30am–2pm
