We were excited to find this locally made damson jam (homemade by our friends at Ley Farm Cottages) when we popped into Daisy’s Dairy for our regular milkshake treat. Both jam and milkshake were udderly delicious! 😋

Here’s a first look at the full English breakfast now available at Kings Arms Inn Stockland on Saturdays from 8.30-10.30, so you can still enjoy a lie-in first at Ferndale Cottage Devon. It includes bottomless tea and coffee, a choice of eggs, fresh fruit and granola and a fresh bread basket with local jams and honey. This Crandon’s Gold honey is from the farm just down the road - doesn’t it make it taste even better knowing it’s so local! 😋

Exciting news! Kings Arms Inn Stockland opposite Ferndale Cottage Devon is now offering takeaway fish and chips or pie and mash on Tues - Sat evenings! Fancy a cooked breakfast but can’t be bothered to cook? Just step over the road to the Kings for their breakfast on Saturday mornings. We can’t wait to try their cream teas on Saturday afternoons!

P.S. the takeaway fish and chips were sublime! 😋

👋 A warm welcome to our new followers! Here’s a little bit about us: We’re Ali and John and we bought Ferndale Cottage Devon 8 years ago after falling in love with its charm when we were looking for a holiday let cottage that we would love to stay in ourselves.

It’s a brilliant location for all the things our family love doing together - countryside rambles, having fun on the beach at Lyme Regis, enjoying the amazing ice creams at Otter Valley Ice Cream & Field Kitchen - A30, Monkton. and eating out at Kings Arms Inn Stockland opposite the cottage.

We love driving down into the Devon countryside to get Ferndale looking beautiful for each guest. We put a lot of love into the cottage and imagine our guests discovering the charm of it when they arrive. Each time we visit is like decompressing - just listening to the birds, the ti**le of the stream and chime of the church bells makes us feel relaxed and content🥰
