We LOVE Dalwood, the peaceful next-door village to Ferndale Cottage Devon. The Tuckers Arms, Dalwood is over 800 years old and packed full of character and charm, serving excellent food and with a lovely garden for refreshing drinks. The village church is beautiful and we were lucky enough to hear a jazz concert as we walked through the churchyard (video in comments). Dalwood also has a handy community-owned shop.

Roll up, roll up! All the fun of the fair was had at the Stockland village annual fair on bank holiday Monday. We cooled off afterwards with a refreshing cider at Kings Arms Inn Stockland opposite Ferndale Cottage Devon. We loved the sheep shearing and many stalls and games and won 2 coconuts on the coconut shy. Life in the English countryside at its best!

We couldn’t resist the Creme Egg flavour milkshake at Daisy’s Dairy, and we can confirm that it was divine! 😋

Daisy’s Dairy is just a few minutes’ drive from Ferndale Cottage Devon. It’s so handy for essentials such as milk and local eggs, and you must try their delicious homemade jams!
