This is a 'did you know?' feature about bone china. Did you know that Stoke-on-Trent is the Mecca of bone china production? It is home to many famous manufacturers of bespoke luxury fine bone china. 🫖 The companies like Wedgewood, Roy Kirkham, Richard Brendon, Royal Worcester, Spode, etc produce their finest products there. 🇬🇧
Did you know that bone china is a type of porcelain that is composed of bone ash, feldspathic material, and kaolin? It has been defined as "ware with a translucent body" containing a minimum of 30% of phosphate derived from animal bone and calculated calcium phosphate.
Bone china is the strongest of the porcelain or china ceramics, having very high mechanical and physical strength and chip resistance, and is known for its high levels of whiteness and translucency. Its high strength allows it to be produced in thinner cross-sections than other types of porcelain. Like stoneware it is vitrified, but is translucent due to differing mineral properties. We are proud to feature another success story coming out of Staffordshire University, Jason Terry - the CEO of Tesco UK & ROI. 🚀 Jason Terry is a Staffordshire University Business Graduate.👨‍🎓 He joined Tesco in 1990 on a graduate recruitment programme and then became the CEO for clothing across the group in 2012, before being appointed as Chief Product Officer in 2015. It is described as the "garden of gardens", it was a vision of James Bateman, who from 1841, spent more than 20 years collecting plants from all over the world. 🏵☘ You will find Chinese, Egyptian, Italian gardens, as well as other areas like the Cherry Orchard, Pinetum and Arboretum🌲, the famous Dahlia walk🌱, and others. We are looking for a professional cleaner who is ideally based not far from ST4 postcode in Stoke-on-Trent and available to do regular cleans of our block of 6 apartments. We run a service accommodation business and need cleaning service between 11am and 3pm any day of the week. However, we have multiple cleaning staff in order to spread the load and take into account everyone's availability. If you a perfectionist and looking for a part-time job whether to fit in between school runs or for any other reason, then please do reach out to us. We will be asking for genuine references and we expect that you are a self-employed because we don't offer an employment and this is a contract work.
