Received news today that punch taverns have accepted an offer for the Victoria on the Square. Let's hope the uncertainty around the business is dealt with swiftly and that the venue continues to cater for the wonderful regular custom that have supported it for so long...

Craig Charles will be playing a soul and funk set at the exchange on Saturday the 3rd of October! The Exchange (formerly fat cats) 2nd birthday coincides with Craig Charles latest compilation release.

It is with sadness in my heart that I find myself typing these words...

I will be closing the doors for the final time on Sunday this weekend and will be moving on to new challenges. I'd like to thank everyone who has supported the Vic on the Square over the past 18months and will of course keep you all informed as to where and when we will open another venue dedicated to the entertainment of our generation.

But before we say goodbye we have one last weekend to enjoy and we are going to make it the best we can for you.
So please come and see us one last time for the BEST SOUL AND MOTOWN NIGHT GOING!....before it's gone.

Music will be played from 9pm through till 3am! And of course, it's free entry.

Thanks again to all who supported the Vic, it's all been appreciated. We'll see you tonight for one last hurrah and a brilliant night to remember!

It's the weekend.... It's payday..... And it's a bank holiday!

Glad we all made it through the week and what a weekend we have for you now!

Tonight is Soul & Motown party part 1 with Shane playing a set that he's guaranteed will beat last week's for sheer energy which is a hard target to set! Fridays are going from strength to strength and its you guys that make it such a great night!
Dj plays from 9pm-2:30am with free entry on the door!

Then Sunday will see Soul & Motown party Friday part 2!!!
Our Fridays are so good, we're having 2 this weekend! So recharge your batteries and get yourself out for another excellent night and make the most of that bank holiday Monday rest! It all starts at the earlier time of 8pm on Sunday.

Can't wait to see you all over the weekend, at least once! 😉

Good evening folks and welcome to the weekend!

Of course Friday night is Soul and Motown here at the Vic with Shane DJing tonight from 9pm with a special guest joining him for early evening onus on soul so come down early for some great sounds!

There will be drinks offers too and free entry all night with a license till 3am!!!

So get yourselves down for what is the best night in the city for the more mature crowd.

Good evening everyone, we hope you are all well and ready for another great soul and Motown party here at the Vic on the Square tonight.

Contrary to what you may have heard, we are NOT closed or closing! The building has a 'for sale' sign outside, but this does not affect the business, it just means I'll be paying rent to someone else at some point in the future!

I would love to buy the building myself and secure the future of the best bar in stoke for the older crowd, but to convince the bank manager we need your support as you have done magnificently throughout my tenure so please please keep coming! There's plenty of reasons to do so, with great music, fantastic friendly atmosphere and great staff and service.

Without our wonderful customers, we don't have a business, and then we won't be able to convince potential backers that we are worth investing in, and we'd hate to lose the essence of 'the Vic' as there are too few venues catering to the nice crowd already.
