A must when visiting Stonehaven…………

Open 7 days a week. Currently operating Early Season timetable - all details of times and prices in the about section of our fb page. Details of What's on each day can also be found on our website.
First hour each day is Quiet hour - no music, no pool toys, no unaccompanied children. Thereafter, chute opens, floats available for play, music, paddling pool (though this is staff dependant), sun loungers and chairs on terraces and cafe open. Aqua Zumba on Tuesdays with Shona 2.00 to 3.00 pm. Weekend programme posted each Thursday on this fb page.

Cool Gourmet is only a minutes walk from our apartment. Check out their page - well worth a visit!

We get that it's way too nice to sit inside just now but remember we can make up all of our menus to go as well as sit in...
Or if your looking for some shade we're the perfect spot, and we're just minutes fra the Harbour!

Seafood Bothy - another wonderful eatery situated on Stonehaven Harbour. We would highly recommend you give it a try! Open Thurs - Sun 11am - 5pm and Mon 11am - 4pm.

The Tolbooth Seafood Restaurant has always been a favourite of ours. It recently changed hands and we strongly recommend that our guests give it a try. Situated on the harbour and just a short stroll from Auld Toon Apartment, Stonehaven.

Today saw the official opening of the Stonehaven Open Air Pool on a glorious sunny morning with the Newtonhill Pipe Band providing the entertainment. Opened in 1934, Stonehaven Open Air Pool is the UK's only art deco Olympic sized sea water lido. The water is heated.

We have been very remiss in not posting for a while - must do better!

A must see when visiting Stonehaven! A lovely easy walk from Auld Toon Apartment. 🚶‍♀️🚶🚶‍♂️

We are delighted to announce that during 2022 we welcomed 103,109 visitors into the Castle.

After 2 years of vastly reduced visitor numbers this is a fantastic milestone and we thank everyone who took the time to come and explore the Castle.

We hope to see even more of you coming to see us this year! 🙂

The Fireball Ceremony is Stonehaven's unique way to welcome in the New Year and greet friends and neighbours. As the midnight chimes ring out on December 31st, approximately 40 men and women parade up and down the High Street swinging fiercely flaming balls around their heads.

Our visitor this morning at the entrance to the Apartment has made the national news. We thought he was only here to give us a seal of approval! 🙈🤣

On a serious note, he was rescued by our local veterinary practice and we wish the wee blighter well. 🦭🦭
