Verandah House

Verandah House Verandah House is an historic grade II listed building, located in the centre of Stowmarket, and is a fine example of a Georgian gentleman's residence.

Built originally around 1700, a cottage and stables were added to the original house in 1729. Later in the mid 1800s the main house and cottage were joined together with the addition of a substantial Victorian extension, to provide the charming house we now enjoy today.

Our Story

Verandah House is an historic grade II listed building, located in the centre of Stowmarket, and is a fine example of a Georgian gentleman's residence. Our house is less than 100 metres from the Regal Theatre,The Mix, and little more than a five minute stroll to the Market Place, the John Peel Centre and the main line railways station to London,Cambridge and Norwich yet Verandah House is surprisingly quiet and peaceful within its tranquil walled garden.
