Works out the Convoy is 500 miles each way. Small van = about £230.

Convoy tickets are £200 per vehicle with driver, £300 with a passenger. You pay your travel costs, inc campsites, which we reserve for you!

Plenty ferries from France, and with dog spaces. You can spot your fellow convoy members en route, as the dress code is sparkly! Or a cowboy hat! 🤠 But there's also a WhatsApp group where you can meet up on the way down - we provide you with a route through Frace to get to the meeting point on the 4th Oct.

An 8 night escapade - following the spring blooms from Bilbao to the flamingos in the Cabo De Gata, taking in lakes, caves, thermal springs and of course europe's only desert, the Tabernas.

Heading to Spain this autumn or winter? 🇪🇸🚐

For thousands of British motorhomers, the great migration south is about to begin. 😂

And one of the first decisions is surprisingly complicated:

How are you actually getting there?

Do you blast down through France as quickly as possible?

Avoid the tolls and take the slower route?

Turn the journey into part of the holiday and take the scenic route through the Massif Central and over the Millau Viaduct?

Head through the Somport Tunnel if you're making for eastern Spain?

Or skip France altogether and put the motorhome on the ferry to Santander or Bilbao?

We've done this journey countless times over the years in cars, motorhomes, on motorbikes and now in the truck, and there really isn't one 'best' way. It depends on your vehicle, budget, time and how much driving you actually enjoy.

So we've put all the main options together, including the quickest, cheapest and most scenic routes, plus the direct ferry, distances, driving times, tolls and the things you need to know before setting off.
