Apologies for the incorrect date given in this year's Gala programme - the Balloon Festival is always one of the highlights of the Strathaven calendar, and we're looking forward to supporting the 26th anniversary year's for this great Strathaven occasion!

The 2026 Gala duck race is on Monday 8th June - one week to go! Sponsor a duck - £1 each - at Craigs newsagent any day, from Sainsbury's on Saturday morning and at the bandstand before the race starts at 7.30pm. Make sure to pick up your programme for full details of everything happening during Gala week too!

There's just over a week to go till the start of this year's Strathaven Gala festival! Make sure you're ready for the festival - programmes and ducks will be available in the Common Green first thing on Saturday morning then at Sainsbury's from 10am - pick up your guide to the festival, sponsor a duck, and get out window spotting around the town and see the amazing decorated windows!
