Airbnb's new rules are out and once again it's turned into Guests v Hosts. Honestly, it's such a toxic agenda to push 🙄
Here's where we stand 👇
Do I think hosts should be able to set their own house rules? 100%.
Do I think guests have to book if they don't like those rules? Absolutely not, and that's completely fine.
Do I think guests should respect our property? Absolutely. We work extremely hard, and so does our amazing cleaning team.
But do I appreciate our guests? 100%. That's why, in 8 years, we have never charged an extra cleaning fee and never penalised anyone for not following our rules. Don't get me wrong, on the rare occasion we have had to ban a disrespectful guest. That's part of any business, and no one's perfect. Sometimes things happen that are out of everyone's control.
What we've done instead is our Good Housekeeping Giveaway 🥚✨ Every guest who follows our good housekeeping rules goes into the draw for a 2 night stay, drawn every Christmas Eve. It's our way of saying thank you for being a good egg 🎄
At the end of the day it all comes down to respect. So let's ditch the toxic agenda and just respect each other 💕
