The Orkney Nature Festival is coming up next week, and we’ve got a full roster of exciting events for you all.
🏞️ On Monday the 11th, we’ll be hosting a coastal nature walk, over at Mull Head. Our trappers will take you on a guided walk, and a frontline tour of our conservation work – giving you a real behind-the-scenes experience of a project full of world-first achievements!
⚡On Tuesday the 12th, at the Brough of Birsay, we’ll be showcasing some of the cutting-edge technologies that help us locate and trap invasive stoats, and explaining how we use them in the field.
🔍 And on Saturday the 16th, our Monitoring Officer, Matt, will be at Marwick Head, giving a talk on the native bird species that make the cliffs their home – and, with our long-distance spotting scopes, giving you the opportunity to see them take flight.
The last two sessions are totally free, with no booking required. Tickets for the Monday nature walk can be found at the link below ⬇️ – book on now while they last!
