Camusbeag Self-Catering Unique self-catering cottage on the hillside overlooking Stromness, with amazing views over the harbour and down Scapa Flow. Suitable for one or two people

Because of the internal layout of the property (with a loft ladder from one level to the next) it is unsuitable for people with mobility problems or young children. The upper level has a double sofa-bed. All bedding, towels etc are provided and there are no extras as the electricity is included in the price. It is non-smoking.

This is arguably the most beautiful 'upcycled' structure in the world.

During WW2, Italian POWs were kept on this tiny island. They built this ornate, high-Renaissance Catholic chapel out of two Nissen huts (corrugated iron sheds) and scrap metal. The contrast between the rusted, industrial exterior and the breathtaking. The Italian Chapel (Lamb Holm, Orkney).
