Christmas shouts gammon for the sandwiches left out for Father Christmas, for late night suppers, for breakfasts with omelettes and a cheeky glass of Bucks Fizz and a quick lunch!
At Farwood we have some gammon joints from our crème de la crème Duroc x Gloucester Old Spot pork pigs at £12/kg ranging from 1.9kg to 2.5kg.
For those who prefer our Saddleback gammon we have some larger joints at £10.50/kg.

We have succulent half shoulders from grass fed hoggets ( lambs between 12 and 24 months) and mutton which would be perfect for this recipe by Mary Berry. Slow cooked in the oven while you go for an autumnal walk with the family and dogs. You can walk through our fields and talk to the sheep. We leave our lambs to enjoy at least two summers.
Half shoulders at £15/kg and are frozen to go straight in your freezer

This is all about slow cooking the lamb – if yours needs a little longer then leave it in the oven. The results will be so tender, it will be worth the extra time. The potatoes are cooked in the meat juices and drippings from the meat which adds tons of flavour as well as being much easier than roast potatoes.

A lovely customer collected her Christmas fare today. Gammon joint, shoulder of lamb with bacon and eggs filled her basket.
I definitely was not thinking about Christmas dinner at the moment but she was!
We have a range of frozen gammon joints in stock but will be picking up fresh pork, gammon, bacon and sausages over the next few days.
