We're packing up. It's been a blast.
I have loved hosting holidays and am very grateful for all the lovely guests and their wonderful reviews.

My husband decided to get a peloton bike, one of the children is continuously making fantastic 'structures' from cardboard boxes and the animals seem to have acquired entire rooms to themselves. We need the space in our house back!

We are almost ready to come out of hibernation!!

Winter at Silver Birches is wet and very, very muddy. We have numerous power cuts and if enough snow arrives we can feel more remote than usual 😳. My attention is turned to seeing the animals through the winter in the best possible health ready for the spring/summer....and just sometimes I get to enjoy a little bit of hibernating myself. 😊.

I like everything to have a fresh lick of paint and be 'new', ready for guests arriving from Easter onwards.

We thoroughly enjoyed our Cowley picnic for my mother in law's birthday yesterday. Sat on very comfy bean bags and deckchairs, outside our own bell tent in the beautiful grounds with a view of the house. Not to mention the most delicious picnic I've ever had! Would highly recommend booking yours before the summer is over....

Jolly Nice is definitely worth a visit during your stay at The Annex. You don't have to drive and go, you can park up and enjoy a seat in the paddocks whilst devouring your delicious treats....
