The Suffolk wool towns grew wealthy from the medieval wool trade. These towns are known for their well-preserved medieval architecture and historic character. The five core wool towns were:

Lavenham:
Often cited as the best-preserved medieval village, it was once one of England's wealthiest towns due to the wool trade.

Long Melford:
Features a spectacular wool church and two Tudor mansions, Kentwell Hall & Melford Hall

Clare:
Suffolk's smallest town is known for its medieval centre and Clare Castle Country Park. A picturesque town, it also has a wool church and Priory.

Hadleigh:
A riverside town centered around several Grade 1 listed buildings from the wool trade era, including the Deanery Tower, Guildhall, and St Mary's.

Sudbury:
An ancient market town known for its silk weaving industry and as the birthplace of artist Thomas Gainsborough.

Also well worth a visit is the County town of Bury St Edmunds, the largest of the wool towns, it is a cultural and historical hub with an abbey, cathedral, and Britain's only surviving Regency theatre.

A small group of walkers & their Labradors just passed by Leveret Lodge. It prompted me to check if there is a collective noun for Labradors. Here are some suggestions:

A Mischief - highlighting their playful antics
A Romp - emphasises their love for running & playing
A Shambles - a humorous take on their chaotic energy
Which one do you think is the most appropriate, or can you suggest something else?

From the bedroom window this morning, I saw these two male pheasants sizing up to each other. On my way out some 10 minutes later, they were still strutting their stuff. See video.
Interesting to note that the pheasant on the left doesn’t have the white vicar’s collar.
