This beautiful 500 year old manor house dates from the time of King Henry VIII – oozing history and character with ancient timber beams, nooks, crannies, huge fireplaces and real wood-burning stoves. Our guest rooms are in the oldest part of Clay Hall House built around 1520, yet offer 21 st century luxury and very comfortable private accommodation. ating of 5 by the Food Standards Agency. Meals are cooked on our traditional Aga stove, using finest quality locally sourced produce wherever possible. Nestling in the beautiful, unspoilt Suffolk countryside that inspired the artist Thomas Gainsborough, Clay Hall House is only 3 miles from the historic and picturesque Suffolk villages of Lavenham and Long Melford.
