I know many of you love Sutton on Sea & would like to continue to holiday here. I'm delighted to recommend another business in Sutton on Sea who have very similar ethics to us & are very dog welcoming. They have a mixture of cottages & caravans & guests have use of a private garden, additional private land and are also just 50 - 100 metres from the beach.

I'll admit I'm completely & totally biased because Tanpits is owned by my gorgeous friends Alexis & Peter but, it's amazing! It's huge! It's full of character! It has a two acre field for guests' exclusive use! You normally need to book up to two years in advance BUT there are currently four 2024 weeks available! And they are just the nicest people ever

If you like the East Coast then you may love Hornsea. The Lobster Pot & Grosvenor Cottage, Hornsea, East Yorkshire, Dog Friendly Holiday Cottage are both very dog friendly with no dog charge or restrictions. Just what we like to hear!

We all know the saying “All good things come to an end”. We are now approaching the end of a very, very good thing as we start the process of ending Pawprints Holidays, which will close permanently in March 2024.

The almost-ten-years of Pawprints Holidays has been a blast. It’s been an absolute privilege & honour to play a part in you making memories. The very best of times. The very best of people, many of whom are now valued friends. And at the very heart of everything, your amazing dogs - far too many to count but all welcomed with open arms.

Nothing in life lasts forever & that is true of us as a couple & as a business. We are moving onto pastures new, into an unknown future. Slightly terrifying especially as 2024 is my 60th year but you know what they say - ‘do something that scares you every day’. So I will. Though possibly not daily, not sure I’m that brave!

Thank you to all who have stayed with us; some just once, some once every year, many twice or even thrice each year. We have loved having you all. And your dogs, above all your dogs. We have found such joy in knowing how they how have loved their holidays 💙How they've felt so at home, done zoomies on the beach, snoozles on the sofa & snuggles on your beds. Their pure hearts & pure joy will stay with me forever.

I will miss you all terribly, this page is a part of me & I have loved interacting with you all over the years. Pawprints Holidays is etched on my very soul, a part of my heart, next to all the parts of my heart my darling dogs have taken with them & replaced with parts of their own 💜🐾🐾

But, I won’t be disappearing just yet. Over the next few weeks & months I will be highlighting some incredible & wonderful dog-friendly properties for you to consider for your future holidays. A very welcome thing that has come from my holiday letting journey is getting to know so many other holiday home owners. More friends made, more fabulous places to add to my bucket list. All people who are dedicated to making their holiday homes the very best they can be. Hopefully you’ll add some to your bucket lists, as have I, & maybe even book with one or two of them! So I hope you will stay with me for that 😘

This morning we said a sad goodbye to Baloo, our best boy, the last of the pack of ten ‘Higham Hounds’. It was his time.

He came to us 11 years ago at the age of 4 as a very last minute foster - we had just an hour’s notice he was on his way! Of course he seduced us with his handsome Labrador face, silly antics & his sheer enthusiasm for life. He stayed & became one of our family. He lived a full & happy life & had a very peaceful passing, eating treats & being cuddled. The house feels so empty without him. It’s the first time in 24 years that we haven’t had a dog.

Run free our darling Baloo. There will be quite a canine committee waiting at The Bridge for you 🥰
