Very sadly, we wanted to let everyone know that John Wootton has died. John first came to the campsite in 1975 as a camper with his family and aquired the site in 1993. He loved Tom's Field with a passion.

We are sorry to open the New Year on a sad note but many of you will remember Nicola's dog Orla, who was often seen around the campsite, has sadly died in a tragic accident. We will miss Orla a lot.

This year Connor and Caitlin, of The Sprout & Bean Cafe , decorated the Tom's Field Christmas tree, at the Langton Matravers Christmas Tree Festival. They made it look really lovely with the addition of hand printed pizzas! Also a stunning hand painted star made with their sons' help.

Today we, John and Sarah , visited the site! We have had the site for 30 years this year and have we have now grown very old! so we don't get there very often but we have a great team managing it. Some of you may recognise John from the old days? We have always loved Tom's Field back from 1970s when we came with our children. Today we had breakfast in the Sprout and Bean Café and it was lovely to meet campers from years ago, to appreciate what Connor and Caitlin are doing with the café and enjoy a shaft of sunlight, quite a rarity this summer! Thank you to all our visitors past and present.

This bench is now on the terrace at Tom's Field, in memory of Bob Allison . Many people may remember the quiz evenings he organised in the summer holidays.

The season is in full swing now and we have some new nature signs round the site there is even some sunshine! Also Sprout and Bean are creating their great breakfasts again this year

A couple are living out their lockdown dream in Purbeck in Dorset by serving food from a mobile catering van which they have kitted out in their own unique style.
