🌼 Aberfan — 60 Years On | 21 October 1966 – 2026 🌼
Today, we pause to remember the 116 children and 28 adults who tragically lost their lives in the Aberfan disaster. 💔
Sixty years may have passed, but the memories of those precious lives, the families who endured unimaginable heartbreak, and the community forever changed will never be forgotten.
We remember the children whose futures were cruelly taken away, the families who still carry their loss, and the courage, compassion and kindness shown by a community in the face of such devastating tragedy.
From all of us at New Tredegar Arms Hotel, we stand in remembrance and solidarity with Aberfan and everyone affected by this heartbreaking event. As a community here in the valleys, we understand the importance of looking after one another, standing together in difficult times, and keeping the memories of those we have lost alive in our hearts.
Today, we remember. We reflect. We honour their memory.
