Situated in the picturesque village of Upper Cwmtwrch, at the foot of the Blackmountains, just 15 minutes drive from Swansea and the M4 motorway. We offer a warm and friendly welcome, home cooked food prepared using local produce, all served with a smile. Evening meals are available 7 days a week including our chefs specials board. Our Sunday lunch carvery is highly recommended, but it is wise to

book as we get very busy. The pub has a very cosy atmosphere all year round but especially in the winter with our log fire burning away. At the rear of the pub we have a large beer garden overlooking the river Twrch. Thanks for visiting

Dear friends, customers and our wonderful New Tredegar Arms community, we just wanted to let you know that from 10th August, The New Tredegar Arms will be temporarily closed until further notice while we give the pub a little makeover. 🛠️✨

We’re incredibly excited about the changes we have planned and can’t wait to show you what we’ve been working on. ❤️

As we begin this exciting new chapter, we'd like to take a moment to introduce ourselves and share what matters most to us.

The New Tredegar Arms is not part of a chain. We are a proud, independent, family-run business with a genuine passion for great pubs, great food, and bringing communities together.
Many of you already know us from our sister pub, The Globe Inn Glais, where we've built our reputation on quality homemade food, warm hospitality, and treating every customer like family. Those same values are now at the heart of The New Tredegar Arms.

We understand that a change of ownership can bring uncertainty, especially when a pub has been part of the community for so many years.
