Dropping your son or daughter off at Swansea University this September? 📚

Freshers Week starts on 21st September, and if it’s their first term away from home, there’s quite a lot to fit into those first few days.

Rather than doing the drive, unpacking the car and heading straight home again, you could stay for a night or two and make it a little less rushed.

We’re just an 8-minute drive from Swansea University, with cottages that have plenty of room for all the family to stay. You can cook one last family meal together, help get everything sorted, and the dog can come too 🐾

There’s still plenty of riding to be done as we head into autumn 🐴

Whether you live locally or you’re staying with us in one of our self catering cottages, you can book horse riding here at Clyne.

From a first pony ride to lessons in the school or getting out for a hack, there are options for different ages and levels of experience.

We currently have good midweek availability too, when things are generally a bit quieter than at the weekend.

September on Gower 🌿

The school holidays might be coming to an end, but there’s still plenty of time for days on the beach, walks along the coast and a few days away.

September is a lovely time to stay, when the beaches and paths are often a little quieter. Although you may still have to share the coast path with the local wild ponies!

We’ve still got a good choice of September dates across the cottages, whether you fancy a few nights away or a longer stay. And dogs are welcome in all of our cottages too. 🐾

A few photos from a lovely wedding here at Clyne earlier this year 🌿

We love seeing how couples make the barns their own. The Stone Barn was used for the ceremony, with the Activity Barn set up for the celebrations afterwards.

We hold weddings for up to 60 people, and with our cottages here at the farm too, family and friends can stay and make a few days of it.

Fancy exploring some of the countryside around Clyne this September? 🥾🌿

We’re sponsoring one of this year’s Gower Walking Festival walks, which starts and finishes right here at Clyne Farm.

The Clyne Farm, Commons & Lily Pond Walk takes place on Thursday 10th September. It’s an 8-mile circular walk taking in Clyne Common, Murton, Bishopston, Barland Common and Fairwood Lily Pond, with some wonderful views along the way.

If you enjoy getting out on foot, it’s a lovely opportunity to discover some of the quieter countryside around us.

And if you’re travelling from further afield, you could always make a few days of it and stay with us while you’re here. 🏡

A last-minute few days away near Mumbles 🌿

We’ve had a gap open up at Barn Owl Lodge from 22 August.

Tucked away in the woods of Clyne Valley Country Park, Barn Owl sleeps up to 8 and has a large garden, with walks from the doorstep and Mumbles and the Gower Peninsula within easy reach.

It would suit a family or a few friends looking for a last-minute break before the end of the summer holidays. Dogs are welcome too. 🐾

You can also add a horse riding or Challenge Valley session to your stay, both just a few minutes away at the main farm.

You don't always need a full week away 🏖️

With three or four nights, you can still fit in a couple of days at the beach, an ice cream in Mumbles, a walk somewhere new and a bit of time away from the usual routine.

We have some short breaks available in our family-sized cottages over the next couple of weeks, including Byron's Barn and The Dairy.

So if a whole week away isn't possible before school starts again, a few days on Gower is still a great option.

Get ready to get muddy, get moving and take on an unforgettable challenge in support of Faith in Families!

On Saturday 12th September 2026, we’re heading to Clyne Farm Centre for the world’s muddiest assault course, Challenge Valley! 🌿💪

Expect 60-90 minutes of climbing, crawling, jumping, teamwork and plenty of laughs. This isn’t about being the fastest, it’s about having fun, getting completely covered in mud, and making memories while raising money to support children and families across Swansea Bay.
