It was lovely having a talented piano teacher staying with us and she very kindly played “Chopin’s Nocturne No. 20” followed by “Take Five” for us. Such a special thing to hear live in our guest house.

🌿 Looking for something a little different during your stay in Mumbles?

Today we visited the beautiful National Botanic Garden of Wales, a wonderful place to spend a few hours exploring its gardens, walking trails and spectacular Great Glasshouse.

It’s an excellent alternative to a day by the sea, with plenty to discover both indoors and outdoors.

Located in Carmarthenshire, it’s an attraction worth adding to your itinerary if you’re staying with us at Tides Reach Guest House.

Because there’s so much more to discover in Wales than its beautiful coastline.

The Admiral Swansea Bay 10k.
So many runners taking on the beautiful route along the bay happening right on our doorstep this morning. One of our favourite annual traditions here in Mumbles. Amazing atmosphere. Well done to everyone who took part. 👏🏅

Mumbles Classic Cars Show took over Newton Road on Thursday 27 August. Stunning classics all along the road.

1 MILLION VIEWS!!! 🥹🤍

I am absolutely blown away!

I normally get around 1,000 views on my posts, so I honestly can’t quite believe this — over 1 MILLION views, 800+ new followers and 30,000+ likes on my video of Bonnie Tyler’s final journey through the streets of Mumbles. 🤍

I happened to be there as her funeral cortege passed by, with thousands of people lining the streets to pay their respects and say goodbye to our wonderful local hero.

It was such a poignant and unforgettable moment to witness, and I’m incredibly grateful that my little video captured something that has clearly meant so much to so many people.

Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who watched, shared, commented and followed. I’m genuinely overwhelmed by the love and support. 🙏🤍

What started as a little moment I happened to capture has reached more than a MILLION people. I’ll never forget that. 🥹

Bonnie Tyler 💞 Legend. The street just outside Tides Reach Guest House was lined with hundreds of fans today to say goodbye. What a send-off. ❤️
