That magic moment when sea spray diffuses the sunlight... 🌊✨

The Helvetia at sunset is amazing 👌 The ribs of the wreck, the bow cutting the horizon, and Worms Head just chilling in the background 🏝️📸 It’s like Gower built the perfect composition for you.

Golden hour bonus: those long shadows make everything look epic 🌅

The evening the sky exploded... 🌤️

Went for sunset, nothing much happened. See sunset photo in comments 👇

Left my viewpoint and started walking back to the car.

Then suddenly the whole sky turned into an unreal pink from north to south, east to west!🌅

Running around like a headless chicken is an appropriate analogy.

Trying to find a composition that worked as I had left the best place.

Lesson learnt: Sunset isn't over until it is over!

This photo has never had much interest.

But I love this photo for several reasons.

The moon - if you look closely you can see it the full circle.

The colour - it was shot during 'blue hour' when sunset colours are still visible but stars are starting to appear, but it is yet to get completely dark.

The Worm - the silhouette and the sea around look misty and ethereal.

Friday photo.
Follow the yellow brick road, a well known song. It evidently means "Going on a journey towards success and happiness, even if it is full of challenges".
Well it is a bit of a challenge to get to the end of Worms Head, but there is certain happiness in mastering it and taking in its beauty.
Photo from Damian and Louise.

The beach was empty, the tide was low, and the zodiacal light was putting on a show.

That faint pyramid of light you see rising from the horizon isn’t sunrise. It’s sunlight scattering off ancient dust left behind by comets and asteroids, basically the solar system’s own ghost trail. You can only catch it in really dark skies, right before dawn in spring or after dusk in autumn.

Bright object in the middle? That’s Venus keeping watch.

Still can’t get over how lucky we are to have dark skies like this on our doorstep in Wales.
