Monday afternoon at North Cadboll House proved to be glorious so I spent most of it in the gardens. The downside was that wearing shorts, my legs were constantly stung by nettles and at one point I was "pinned" when caught between a rose bush and berberis. Thankfully no clothes damaged, just some tears on my face, neck and back. The joys of gardening :)
On the STV news last night Philip warned there might be frost this morning and I am sure we must have had air frost. When Muffty and I went out for our walk just after 07.00, Tuesday morning was dry, bright and sunny with clear blue sky and light white fluffy clouds high in the sky. There was heavy due on the grass, almost white in some exposed spots and as I walked round the gardens and looked behind me, I could see the path my feet had taken in the wet grass. Officially it was 8C when we were out. Rosie was munching in the paddock when I reached it and she vaulted the fence into the wood before I got closer than 20 feet.
