Monday morning and the high pressure continues to dominate at North Cadboll House meaning the day has begun dry, bright with clear blue sky and feeling very cold at 4C. There were patches of white frost all around the gardens when Muffty and I were out for our early morning walk. Rosie and the twins were just over the fence in the barley field and I spotted three more roe deer at the far end of the field.

Saturday afternoon proved to be dry and bright so I was able to cut the grass on young Harriet and also have a large bonfire of the bushes and branches I had cut over the past couple of months or so.

Sunday morning at North Cadboll House has begun dry and bright with clear blue sky. We have ground frost but the temperature had risen to 5C by the time Muffty and I went out for our walk. Rosie and another roe deer were in the orchard as we approached it and by the time I entered the orchard, they had joined the twins and 3 other roe deer in the barley field.

Saturday morning at North Cadboll House has begun dry and bright with blue sky. It is very cold at 4C and there is slight ground frost. There were seven roe deer in the barley field and several more down the drive at Moss Cottage. Clearly they are getting themselves ready for the steadily colder weather.

Friday morning began dry, bright and chilly at North Cadboll House. A mix of blue sky and orange tinted clouds above and patches of white ground frost below. Rosie the twins and three other rose deer were in the barley field this morning.

After overnight rain, Thursday morning at North Cadboll House is dry and bright but even though it is 11C, it feels cooler. Rosie and 5 other roe deer were in the barley field. Because she didn't move when I drew near on my side of the fence, the others didn't move either. It was as if she was checking it was me before she carried on munching.

I was able to spend part of Tuesday afternoon in the gardens before the rain arrived mid-afternoon.

Wednesday morning at North Cadboll House has begun dry, cloudy and 9C. There were 10 roe deer in the barley field this morning.

After overnight rain, Tuesday morning at North Cadboll House has begun dry and blustery. Although 12C, the wind removed the feeling of mildness as I was walking round the gardens. Muffty didn't spot Rosie or the 3 other roe deer in the orchard and front gardens. Several more were in the barley field. I feel like hibernating!

Monday morning at North Cadboll House began dry and bright with a crimson sky which turned blue. It was 7C but felt milder due to a lack of any breeze. There were 10 roe deer in the barley field this morning. When they spotted me, 8 ran off towards Cadboll. I reckon the two who remained were Rosie and one of the twins.

Now at 08.40 it has become overcast. I hope it remains dry.

Saturday proved to be a very wet day at North Cadboll House. However by the time Muffty and I were out at 01.30, it was dry and cold with a bright, starry sky.

Sunday morning has begun dry, bright and sunny with blue sky. We also have some ground frost and it was 5C when we were out for our morning perambulation. Rosie, the twins and four other roe deer were in the barley field.

It rained a great deal overnight and Saturday morning at North Cadboll House has begun dry (sort of), overcast, feeling cool in the breeze 8C with heavy passing showers. I am not surprised to learn that there has been snow on the peaks overnight.

First morning wearing my wellies this season. Rosie was munching just over the fence in the barley field. The twins were further up the field and 3 other roe deer were at the far end of the field. Rosie never moved and other than looking up when I called to her, kept on munching.
