A couple of evenings ago at Maes Y Neuadd… 🌅

We’re very lucky to get some beautiful sunsets here, but this one was something else. The whole sky turned shades of pink, orange and purple over the gardens.

One of those evenings where you just have to stop what you’re doing for a minute and take it all in. ❤️

Well what an experience that was!

✨ After receiving a few phone calls from Channel 4, we decided to finally say yes to showcasing the beautiful Maes Y Neuadd on TV. As a family we decided Roisin & Harvey should represent the property on camera after spending years working as part of the team helping to renovate, set up and then initially run the Country House. They know the house inside out! ✨

We can honestly say it was a pleasure meeting all 6 of the other contestants and the crew, we had such a brilliant time over the 2 WEEKS of filming - we can’t quite believe they managed to cram all that footage into 5 x 23 minute episodes 🫣
We were able to visit some beautiful properties across the country, experience some really interesting and educational activities in the local areas and then to host the team back at Maes Y Neuadd was a JOY. You could feel the buzz in the air!

For those wondering where Harvey disappeared to in our episode, he didn’t have better things to get on with, he actually took a trip to A&E after he dropped a big antique frame on his head and needed stitches 🤣🫣😬 and don’t worry about the bathroom floor, we’ve checked it and its ok…. 👀😅

Taking part in Four In A Bed (Channel 4) was a fantastic opportunity to take a step back and look at the business as a whole, to see what other accommodation providers are offering their guests, to see what we are missing and how we can improve the guest experience even further.

Our aim was to showcase the beautiful Eryri National Park & Maes Y Neuadd Country House that our family are proud custodians of. After it was closed and left in disrepair for almost a decade, it’s about time it was put back on the map!! 📍

We’ve been keeping a secret… 👀

And we’re sooo excited that we can finally share it!

After spending 3 years renovating Maes Y Neuadd from a near derelict state, last summer, Róisín & Harvey welcomed the cameras from Channel 4 Four In A Bed (Channel 4), and what an unforgettable experience it turned out to be.

We’re incredibly grateful to have been part of such a fantastic programme and to have the opportunity to share Maes Y Neuadd with the masses. It was full of laughter, wonderful memories, and the chance to meet some truly lovely fellow B&B owners along the way. We genuinely had an absolute blast from start to finish.

Keeping it under wraps for all these months hasn’t been easy, and there’s not long to wait now!

We’re feeling a mixture of excitement, pride and just a few nerves as we get ready to watch it all back!

Thank you to everyone who has supported Maes Y Neuadd on this journey so far ❤️

What an amazing night at Maes y Neuadd! 🌙✨

Everyone came up to enjoy some great food, drinks and even better company as we watched the eclipse together. Such a magical atmosphere, with everyone gathered, chatting, laughing and looking up at the sky.
