The site provides accommodation and camping for cubs, guides, scouts, explorer scouts, youth groups and school groups. It is located in the heart of the Derbyshire Dales in the Lumsdale Conservation area of Matlock near Tansley Village. You can camp; hike, do bike rides, climb, cave, canoe, sail, study the varied wild life, play games and most of all have fun.

UPDATE. Thank you everyone for the incredible donations and kind words following the break in and vandalism last month. As you can imagine, we’ve been working hard behind the scenes, but we thought we’d give you a quick update. The site is back fully open and we’ve had a couple of camps already, forest schools were back a week after the break in. We’ve replaced locks, a window and a door making the site secure again, we’ve replaced mirrors, fire extinguishers and kitchen equipment. We had a wonderful volunteering weekend where the buildings were cleaned and painted by incredible volunteers. We are still working with the insurance company to agree what they will pay for. We have great plans for the GoFundMe money which will make the site more secure and safer for the youngsters using the site. This includes new doors, good flooring, fencing, replacement mattresses and WiFi/CCTV. In the Autumn we will hold an open day to thank you all and give you chance to have a look around.and see what has been achieved.

Activity Centre Overnight The campsite can accommodate about 50 persons. Campers will need to bring their own tentage. There is a main building available which includes a hall and kitchen and is available to all users at no additional cost.
