So we thought we'd escape for a couple of nights over summer, I was so excited to be having a little trip away after 18 months.

Whilst it was lovely to be somewhere different and enjoying the days out, it was a different story when we got back to the "not so cheap" accommodation.

Is it just me or do you expect to be able to have a comfortable night sleep on a mattress that fully supports you, a sofa that doesn't give you backache after sitting and chilling for an hour watching TV, a shower that gets you wet, a clean kettle so you don't have to sit and look at dirty, floaty things in your morning coffee, even a few little cleaning products so you don't have to buy any for just 2 nights away.

Made me realise how these things can either make or break a stay away from home.
Good news for our lovely guests though as we've got things covered in both of our lodges.
Memory foam mattresses, powerful showers, comfortable sofas, clean kettles, books and magazines, toy boxes, cleaning products, dishwashers with tablets.

So these are the things that make my holidays enjoyable when I kick off my shoes - what do you hope for on yours ???
