💚A MESSAGE FROM STEVE, TRACEY & TEAM CHAPEL 💚

It is with incredibly heavy hearts that we announce The Chapel, Cotford St Luke will close its doors for the final time at the end of this weekend, with our last day being Sunday 19th July.

After three and a half years, this is not the ending we ever imagined.

Over the past year, we’ve seen a significant decline in footfall. Despite everything we did to adapt, reduce costs and encourage more customers, the reality is that the running costs of operating a large historic building have become simply too high. With rising utility costs, staffing, supplier prices and increasing Government costs, the calculations just no longer add up, making it impossible for us to continue.

We are immensely proud of everything we’ve achieved together. The Chapel became much more than a pub. It was a place where friendships were made, weddings, birthdays, celebrations of life, christenings and baby showers were celebrated, live music filled the building, and memories were created.

To our incredible Team Chapel – thank you. Your hard work, loyalty, passion and friendship have meant everything. We couldn’t have asked for a better team.

As they look for their next chapter, we’d love to help. If you have any hospitality or customer service vacancies, please email us. We’d be grateful for any opportunities for our fantastic team.

To everyone who supported us - thank you. Your support and kindness will never be forgotten.

It is heartbreaking this beautiful building will once again stand empty, but we leave knowing we gave it everything we had.

Before we close for the final time, we’d love to spend one last weekend with you.

🍕 This weekend, our kitchen will be open as usual, with a special pizza menu available all weekend. Please note there will be no Sunday roasts this weekend.

🍻 Join us this weekend to raise a glass with Team Chapel and make our final days ones to remember before we say goodbye on Sunday 19th July.

Let’s give The Chapel, Cotford St Luke the send-off it deserves.

We are closed this weekend for a private event. Did you know you can hire our let’s and enclosed and private orchard along with our licensed bar. It’s the perfect chilled out location for your event or celebration!

Huge congratulations to Lucy and her new husband who chose to spend their mini-moon with us this week! They also took advantage of our new alcohol licence and had a bottle of Prosecco ready chilled for their arrival.

We are very pleased to announce that Wick House is now fully licensed to sell alcohol! For the event or two we hold in our orchard, this means we can continue to serve you from our Wicky Licky bar.. and for our guests, it means you can now fully relax with a bottle of of wine or pint of cider! Finer details to be refined… but… full steam ahead of the summer months ahead!
