Jewel in the crown
We can only endorse what others have said but as regular CL users for the past 25 years we feel our opinion should be of some value. The site run by Amy and Ian is first class, lovely big pitches with the choice of hard standing or grass. Many shrubs have been planted to enhance the pitches and the grass is neatly and regularly mown with cuttings picked up. Prices are very fair in comparison with other sites and there is a choice of electric or not. There are many attractions within easy reach, an excellent farm shop (Pynes) only a few miles away, and Taunton if you need retail therapy. Several National Trust properties nearby and a steady climb up Burrow Mump is well worth it for the panoramic views. Yes, there is a railway in the nearby cutting but you soon get used to it and it’s not a nuisance. We will definitely be returning to this jewel in the crown to sit on the swing bench under the shade of the tree with a glass of local cider.

Beautiful.
We have now arrived home after a five night stay at Southfield. We really enjoyed our stay, everything was just as good as in the photo's. Clean and tidy, well cut lawn, all cuttings collected so no dragging grass cuttings into the van. You can hear a little road noise at busy times or an odd train passing at the bottom of the field but none of this bothered us at all. Easy access which is nice Ideal for visiting Taunton as the Park and ride is just a few miles away which we used. Would we come again! You bet if it wasn't 200miles we would be here more often. Best site we have visited this year and we have been on a few.

Beautiful site. Easy access to to site and pitches, Very well kept tidy site. Level Hard standing pitches, 16 amp electric some pitches allow you to plug in to water, waste goes into hedgeway. £25 per night includes ehu - good value. Perfect. Amy and Ian were very welcoming and friendly. This site is a perfect stop over on route to Cornwall but also worth a Longer stay for some lovey tranquil rest time. Lots of information provided about local amenities and points of interest. In summery, highly recommend this site and we will definitely return. Thank you Amy and Ian.
