What a great choice putting Solar PV on the roof of the boiler house - even over the winter months I got a big fat cheque for energy produced and sent to the grid, how good will it get in the summer?? Who needs Hinkley C?

Solar thermal hot water and wood pellet boiler have both worked really well. Always plenty of heat and no chance of a cold shower so now we are working on installing Solar PV cells to make our own electricity. A race against time to get them fitted before 8th December when the deadline for the best tariff changes.

Brrr..... hasn't it been cold? This has been a real test of the wood pellet boiler which fuels our central heating and hot water. So far, so good. Nice to know that we can be warm and cosy without an oil tanker of fuel being burnt, and feeding the pellets into the hopper keeps you fit too!!
