In 1842 – Great Western Hotel opens opposite Taunton railway station.
During 1950s – Converted from a hotel into railway engineering offices.
We have small reminders all over our beautiful building of its past.
Now proudly owned by YMCA Dulverton Group operating as a toca social enterprise.

During those vacant years the Grade II listed building suffered from water ingress, neglect and vandalism, although many original features—including Minton tiled floors, decorative plasterwork and historic staircases—survived and were carefully restored.
